Olivier Richters plays Paul “Paulie” Masserella in Reacher Season 3. Amazon’s official cast guide lists Richters at 7 feet 2 inches and Alan Ritchson at 6 feet 3 inches, making Richters the taller actor by 11 inches. The season adapts Lee Child’s novel Persuader; the height comparison is between the actors, not a confirmed measurement of their fictional characters.
Who plays Paulie in Reacher Season 3?
Dutch actor Olivier Richters plays Paul “Paulie” Masserella. Skydance credits him as Paul “Paulie” Masserella, while Amazon describes the character as a former U.S. Army serviceman who works as a bodyguard for Zachary Beck. Amazon’s Season 3 cast guide and Skydance’s production page list Richters among the season’s cast.

How much taller is Olivier Richters than Alan Ritchson?
Amazon lists Richters at 7 feet 2 inches and Ritchson at 6 feet 3 inches, a difference of 11 inches. Those are actor measurements in Amazon’s cast guide; they do not establish exact heights for Paulie or Reacher in the story.
The size contrast was part of the casting challenge. In a TechRadar interview published February 20, 2025, author and executive producer Lee Child said: “Alan Ritchson is already pretty big. How do you find a person who makes him look small? And it was literally an international search for an actor who could make Reacher look small.”

What is Paulie’s role in the story?
Season 3 is based on Persuader, Lee Child’s seventh Jack Reacher novel. Amazon says the season follows Reacher as he enters a criminal conspiracy while trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant. Paulie is Zachary Beck’s bodyguard, placing him within the season’s central conflict. The official cast and production pages confirm the adaptation and casting, but do not document every difference between Paulie’s book and television roles.
Child described the character’s threatening presence in the same TechRadar interview: “This guy is bigger than Reacher; he’s huge, he’s scary. Is Reacher going to defer to him? Absolutely not. He’s going to needle him as much as he can, simply because that’s who Reacher is.” This is Child discussing the character and casting, not dialogue from the series or a remark by Richters.

How to watch Reacher Season 3
Prime Video’s Season 3 listing shows eight episodes, including a finale titled “Unfinished Business,” whose description says Reacher faces Paulie and Quinn. Amazon and Skydance identify Prime Video as the streaming platform; availability can vary by territory, so check the listing for your location.
Readers who want the source story can look for Persuader: A Reacher Novel by Lee Child, the book adapted for this season. Amazon’s cast guide links to the novel; edition and availability depend on the retailer and region.
