What happened on Jill Zarin’s charter?
Service expectations before boarding
Bravo reports that the crew was concerned by the group’s extensive preference-sheet likes and dislikes before the guests arrived. During the charter, Zarin made suggestions about service, including pre-stocking the bathrooms with personal items and giving the primary guest a button to request help from the crew.

The dinner mistake
The central service problem came at dinner: the appetizer selection did not include a vegetarian option for Melinda, the primary guest. Bravo says chef Anthony recalled discussing dinner with Zarin without hearing a request for a vegetarian appetizer. Captain Kerry’s response focused on the crew’s responsibility to prioritize Melinda as primary, rather than allowing discussion with another guest to displace her needs.
What was Captain Kerry’s lesson?
Bravo attributes this statement to Captain Kerry in the episode: “We can’t drift away from what the primary wants,” he said. “Otherwise we’re gonna make more and more mistakes.” In the episode’s account, the practical issue was not simply the number of preferences in the group; it was keeping track of whose needs set the service priorities.

How to understand the episode’s account
The details here reflect Bravo’s recap of an edited reality-TV episode, not an independent, complete record of everything said or done during the charter. In that account, Zarin is a guest who offered service suggestions, while the missed vegetarian appetizer concerned Melinda, the primary guest. The recap does not establish a broader judgment about Zarin or the crew beyond the events it describes.
