Those are the clearest available indicators of Hewitt’s status: ABC continues to present her as part of the cast while promoting the new season. The official materials do not say she has departed.
What Maddie’s recent storyline means—and doesn’t mean
ABC Press says Maddie became a supervisor in Season 9 and was learning to navigate her working relationships. That gives her a continuing workplace storyline, but it does not establish how many Season 10 episodes she will appear in or what happens to Maddie next.

What has not been confirmed
The current ABC pages do not include a direct statement from Hewitt, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Tim Minear, or ABC about a contract renewal, an appearance in every Season 10 episode, or a decision never to leave. The careful answer is therefore that ABC’s current materials include Hewitt in the cast and do not announce an exit—not that her future is guaranteed.
ABC identifies Murphy, Falchuk, and Minear as creators, and names Minear as showrunner on its series information page. The show’s association with Ryan Murphy is not evidence that he has commented on Hewitt’s future.
