It has eight episodes in total. The season follows CIA operatives Joe, Kaitlyn and Byron as they bring in a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. Paramount+ is the official streaming home, though availability depends on your territory.
Why the series has two titles
Paramount’s May 2024 renewal announcement styled the series LIONESS and noted that it was previously titled SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS. Both names therefore refer to the same show; Season 2 is commonly listed under the shorter title, Lioness.

At the same time, Joe faces the personal sacrifices involved in leading the program. That is the official high-level premise; it does not specify further plot details.
