ROSALÍA’s fourth album, LUX, was released on November 7, 2025, through Columbia Records. Before the official announcement, Times Square billboards in New York teased the album title and release date.
What did the NYC billboard announce?
The Times Square billboards teased the name LUX and its release date ahead of the album’s official reveal, according to The FADER’s October 20, 2025 report. They were part of the announcement rollout, not the event where the album artwork was unveiled.

That artwork reveal took place separately in Madrid. Sony Music said the lights were turned off on the city’s Gran Vía before the cover was shown in a public event. The label’s announcement describes the Madrid reveal; it should not be confused with the New York teaser billboards.
What kind of album is LUX?
Sony identifies LUX as ROSALÍA’s fourth full-length body of work and describes it as an 18-track album divided into four movements. The label frames its emotional arc around feminine mystique, transformation and transcendence, moving between intimacy and operatic scale. Those are the label’s descriptions of the project.

In its review, the Associated Press characterized the album as leaning toward contemporary classicism and Catholic imagery. Those are the reviewer’s critical descriptions, rather than neutral genre or subject labels.

Sony says the CD and vinyl editions include three exclusive tracks. The label’s wording applies to those physical formats; it does not establish that the bonus tracks appear on every digital edition. The available information does not identify the three tracks or establish differences between retailer versions.
