My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 premiered on Netflix on August 28, 2025, and is now streaming. Netflix reported being on set during the season’s final week of filming, but did not publish an exact wrap date. The series has since continued: Season 3 is streaming, and Season 4 is slated for 2027.
When did Season 2 of My Life with the Walter Boys come out?
Netflix announced on July 15, 2025, that Season 2 would debut on August 28. Netflix Tudum confirmed the season was streaming on that date. The announcement is now a past release update, not a forthcoming window.
Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 release coverage and Netflix’s Canada announcement carry the official date.
Did Season 2 finish filming?
Netflix Tudum reported that it was with the cast and crew during the final week of filming. Its account places production in Calgary in November, but does not give a specific day when filming wrapped. The available official update therefore confirms that filming had reached its final week, not an exact completion date.
#1 Best Overall
Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 set report also describes the season as an original story. Creator and executive producer Melanie Halsall called it “bigger and better.”
What is Season 2 about, and how does it relate to the book?
Netflix describes Jackie as 16 and trying to work out where she belongs after leaving Silver Falls at the end of Season 1. Season 2 is an original story independent of Ali Novak’s novel. Season 1, by contrast, was based on Novak’s Wattpad novel, My Life with the Walter Boys; the book is source material for the first season, not a guide to Season 2’s plot.
