Kuttram Purindhavan: The Guilty One is a Tamil crime-drama series on Sony LIV. Its trailer sets up a missing-girl case that draws a desperate father and others into a web of secrets and difficult moral choices. Sony LIV lists seven episodes; the trailer is available on the platform.
What the trailer sets up
Sony LIV describes the series as a small-town crime drama that unravels moral complexities when a girl goes missing. The official synopsis names retiree Baskaran, Esther and constable Gautham, and hints at secrets and an uneasy alliance as the case develops. That is the trailer’s central tension: the search for the girl is also a test of what the people involved are willing to do.

The trailer’s premise is best approached without assuming how the case is resolved. Its missing-person mystery and the relationships around it are the setup; later episode developments are beyond what a spoiler-light trailer explainer can establish.

Cast and character names
Scroll’s 21 November 2025 report identifies Selvamani as director and names Pasupathy, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and Vidaarth among the cast. The report refers to Bhaskar in its account of the father, while Sony LIV’s official synopsis spells the character’s name Baskaran. This article follows Sony LIV’s spelling for the official premise.
The differing spellings are a reason to treat brief role summaries cautiously. What is clear from the platform synopsis is that Baskaran, Esther and constable Gautham are connected to the missing-girl case; the available trailer-level material does not require revealing more.
