2028 has not been confirmed as the release year for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Part 2. In a May 2026 interview, Crunchyroll CEO and president Rahul Purini said the film was actively in production, but that no release date had been set. That means the available statements do not establish either a 2028 release or a rule that it cannot arrive sooner.
When does Infinity Castle Part 2 come out?
There is no announced release date for Part 2 in the statements cited here. The clearest direct comment on its timing came in May 2026, when GamesRadar+ interviewed Crunchyroll CEO and president Rahul Purini. He said: “We can tell you that it is actively in production. The studio wants to bring it to fans as quickly as possible. We just don’t have a date yet.” Read the GamesRadar+ interview.
“No date yet” is not a delayed-release announcement. Purini did not name a year or say that the film would wait until 2028.
Why is 2028 being mentioned?
The sources cited here do not identify 2028 as an official date or explain it as a studio schedule. It should be treated as speculation, not confirmed release information. The production statement provides no timetable from which to calculate a release year.
