What changed after Deon and Karen Derrico’s divorce?
TV Insider reported that the divorce was finalized on June 6, 2024. In a joint statement quoted by the outlet, Deon and Karen said: “Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children – their well-being is our priority. We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.” The statement set out their public position as co-parents, but did not detail their private arrangements.
In August 2025, Deon addressed the family’s focus in an Instagram Q&A, as reported by Parade. He said their main focus was “catering to their individual and collective needs.” That was his description at the time, not evidence that every disagreement had been resolved.
What has Deon said about co-parenting and the household?
In a June 2026 interview with Us Weekly, Deon said that he and Karen continued co-parenting under one roof for two years after the divorce. He said Karen moved out on April 3, 2026. The report presents this timeline through Deon’s account; it does not provide Karen’s perspective on the move, so it should not be treated as a jointly confirmed description of their living arrangements.

The reported change is from a shared household to separate homes while the parents continue to have a role in raising their children. The available statements emphasize the children’s needs, but do not establish the precise custody schedule or day-to-day arrangements.
What did the show reveal about the family before the divorce?
TLC describes the Derricos as a family with four sets of multiples. Its Season 5 summaries featured household pressures including daughter Darian’s college decision, questions about the family’s future, and a medical emergency. Those synopses help explain what viewers saw on the show, but they are summaries of edited episodes—not a complete account of the marriage or proof of what caused the divorce.
