Why is Chrishell Stause leaving Selling Sunset?
Stause said she had reached a point where she did not need the show financially and that continuing was affecting her mental health. In a Bustle interview quoted by the Los Angeles Times on November 7, 2025, she explained: “I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health.”

She also expressed appreciation for what the series had brought her, saying, “I have no ill will toward the show. The show has given me so many opportunities, and I don’t want to be bitter about it, even though I’m leaving not in the way that I would’ve loved.” Her departure was not presented as a rejection of every opportunity connected to the franchise; she wished it well and suggested viewers would see her in other contexts.
What role did the Season 9 reunion play?
Stause identified the Season 9 reunion as the moment she decided she was done. TV Insider, reporting on her Variety interview on November 7, 2025, quoted her saying, “The reunion was so brutal.” She described the experience as feeling “a little bit like a dog pile.” That is Stause’s account of how the reunion felt to her, not an independently established finding about the production or other cast members.

Is Selling Sunset ending without Stause?
No. Netflix renewed Selling Sunset for Season 10 on April 29, 2026. In its official announcement, Netflix named Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa as returning cast members, describing their return as a reintroduction.

Stause had been part of the main cast since the show launched in 2019, with her personal and professional storylines forming part of its identity. Her exit therefore marks the end of a long-running central cast presence—not the end of the series.

Netflix’s April 2026 announcement did not name Stause as a returning cast member. It also did not provide a full Season 10 cast list or release date. The announcement confirms that the series is continuing and identifies Quinn and El Moussa as returnees; it does not establish whether Stause could appear in a later episode or whether Netflix will announce additional cast members.
