The first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle film began streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The announcement covered worldwide availability except Japan and Mainland China. That date has passed; it was the film’s streaming release, not its theatrical debut.
What the 2026 Crunchyroll date meant
On July 3, 2026, the official Demon Slayer anime site announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I would arrive on Crunchyroll on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. PT. The announcement described streaming availability worldwide except Japan and Mainland China.
It also listed Japanese audio with English subtitles, several dubbed languages and subtitles in multiple languages. The announcement does not establish that every listed audio or subtitle option is available in every country, so check the language choices shown in your local Crunchyroll listing.
The film’s release timeline
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| September 12, 2025 | North American theatrical release. The official international release schedule listed the U.S. and Canada for this date. |
| March 6, 2026 | The film returned to U.S. and Canadian theaters, with SCREENX highlighted. The official theatrical-return announcement described the engagement as theatrical-exclusive at the time; it does not confirm current showtimes. |
| July 28, 2026, 8:00 a.m. PT | Announced Crunchyroll streaming start outside Japan and Mainland China, alongside select-territory digital purchase options. |
| September 28, 2026 | Netflix Tudum reported that the film was streaming on Netflix. That dated report does not establish availability in every country or how long the film will remain in a local catalog. |
Where to watch it now
Availability depends on your country and the date you check. The official Crunchyroll announcement provides the July 2026 streaming date and its territory exclusions; Netflix Tudum later reported Netflix availability on September 28, 2026. Neither source verifies every country’s current catalog, so search each service’s local listing before subscribing or planning a viewing.

Streaming subscription
Crunchyroll’s announced option was streaming access. The official announcement does not provide a country-by-country catalog list, so its worldwide wording should be read alongside the explicit exclusions and checked against the service in your region.
Digital purchase
The July announcement also named Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube and Fandango for digital purchase in select territories, including North America. Buying the film digitally is separate from watching it through a streaming subscription; the announcement does not promise that every retailer offers it in every territory.

This release is the first film in a trilogy adapting the manga’s final arc. The official 2025 announcement called the three-part theatrical project “the final arc and culmination” of the anime series. The Crunchyroll date therefore refers to the first film, not a release date for the entire trilogy.
