The teams Netflix’s official season-six coverage identifies by name are Miyagi-Do, Cobra Kai, and Iron Dragons. The Sekai Taikai is a 16-team international tournament in Barcelona, but Netflix’s cited pages do not provide a complete roster of all 16 dojos. By the finale, Miyagi-Do has been eliminated; Cobra Kai and Iron Dragons are the two teams left in the championship decision.
Which teams are confirmed as Sekai Taikai competitors?
| Dojo | Season-six tournament role |
|---|---|
| Miyagi-Do | Competes in Barcelona and is eliminated before the finale. |
| Cobra Kai | Competes and reaches the championship decision. |
| Iron Dragons | Competes and reaches the championship decision. |
Netflix presents the Sekai Taikai as an international tournament, rather than another local All Valley bracket. Its official pages identify these three teams, but do not name every entrant. The table is therefore a verified partial list, not a complete 16-team roster. Netflix’s season-six overview establishes the tournament arc, while its finale recap describes the closing contest.

Who makes it to the finale’s championship decision?
Miyagi-Do’s tournament participation should not be confused with finalist status. Netflix reports that Samantha’s withdrawal eliminates Miyagi-Do from contention. Cobra Kai and Iron Dragons then tie on team score, so the championship is decided by a final fight between the senseis. The finale’s decisive matchup is therefore Cobra Kai versus Iron Dragons, not a three-team contest.
Why is the tournament international?
The Sekai Taikai takes place in Barcelona and brings together elite dojos from around the world. In Netflix’s October 17, 2024 first-look coverage, co-creator Hayden Schlossberg explained the creative aim: “We wanted to make sure we deliver on the promise of an international martial arts competition.” Netflix’s first-look article describes the setting and global premise.

Does Netflix publish the full list of 16 teams?
Netflix’s finale coverage gives the tournament’s total as 16 teams, but the official pages cited here do not enumerate all 16 dojo names. That means the three confirmed names above should not be presented as the entire field. Nor should a dojo’s country be inferred from its name or fighters: a complete roster with national assignments is not established by these official pages.
