That date has passed, so the countdown has expired.
When did Sakamoto Days Season 1 come out on Netflix?
Netflix’s official Media Center listing gives the Season 1 release as January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM GMT. GMT is equivalent to UTC on that date, making the premiere instant 14:00 UTC on January 11, 2025.
Because the premiere is in the past, a live countdown to Season 1’s release should show that it has already happened—not display time remaining. The original GMT time is not a universal local-time listing; viewers in other locations would need to convert that instant using their location’s time-zone rules for the date.
Why do some schedules show a different time?
The sources describe different release channels. Netflix’s listing gives the streaming release time in GMT, while TV Tokyo’s official anime page gives the Japanese television broadcast schedule: January 11, 2025, at 11 p.m. for the premiere. Those times should not be treated as conflicting versions of one worldwide schedule.
