KAOS will not return for a second season on Netflix: the streamer cancelled the series after its first season in October 2024, and no season 2 release date or production plan has been announced in the available reporting. The “promising update” was creator Charlie Covell’s earlier hope to make more seasons—not a renewal. [NME] [TVLine]

What did creator Charlie Covell say about more seasons?
In a September 2024 interview with NME, before the cancellation, Covell said their dream was to make two more seasons: “That would be my dream.” They had considered a broad direction for the story, including a document outlining a possible plot and developing ideas drawn from Greek myths. Those comments expressed creative ambition, not a Netflix order. [NME]

What Covell said after the cancellation
After the cancellation, Covell said they were gutted but did not want the news to overshadow what the cast and crew had made. In a statement reported by TVLine, they wrote: “Of course I’m gutted not to be making more KAOS, but I don’t want this news to overshadow what we did make.” Covell also hoped people would keep discovering and discussing the series. This was a response to the cancellation, not an indication that Netflix was reconsidering it. [TVLine]
