What to watch in theaters
Roofman for an offbeat crime story
Arnold’s theatrical pick stars Channing Tatum as Jeffrey Manchester, a real-life burglar nicknamed “Roofman.” The story focuses on his escape and the period he spent hiding in a Toys “R” Us. Arnold described the film as a dark-edged charmer and recommended it; that characterization is the columnist’s judgment.
Other October 10 theatrical releases
The Associated Press’s fall movie guide also listed TRON: Ares, Kiss of the Spider Woman, After the Hunt, and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You among October 10 releases. The guide does not establish that every listed title was playing widely in every market. See the AP fall movie guide.

TRON: Ares for science-fiction spectacle
Disney identifies TRON: Ares as a theatrical release dated October 10, 2025, rated PG-13, with a runtime of 1 hour 59 minutes. Its official synopsis follows Ares, a sophisticated Program sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission—humanity’s first encounter with AI beings. The AP calls it “The third film in the futuristic sci-fi series, and a sequel to 2010’s ‘Tron: Legacy.’” Disney’s official film page.
If you are choosing between the two main theatrical contrasts, TRON: Ares offers high-concept science fiction, while Roofman centers on a real-life criminal story. Check local showtimes rather than assuming either is available near you.

What to rent or buy at home
The Conjuring: Last Rites
The Yahoo guide’s VOD recommendation is the latest entry in the Conjuring franchise, involving the Warrens and the Smurl family case. Arnold recommended it to horror and franchise fans, while noting its 135-minute runtime and a drawn-out second act. Amazon, Apple TV, and other VOD platforms were named as rental or purchase options in the October 10, 2025 article. That refers to digital viewing, not a confirmed physical disc listing; availability and price depend on current service listings and territory.
