The project joined Plant with vocalist Suzi Dian and four instrumentalists, bringing older blues and folk material into conversation with more contemporary songs. Its announced schedule included European and North American dates, followed by ten UK shows in December.
What was Robert Plant’s Saving Grace tour?
Saving Grace was Plant’s band project as well as the title of its first album with this lineup, released by Nonesuch on September 26, 2025. The album announcement described the group’s European dates and initial North American run; a later label announcement listed the UK leg. Those announcements establish the planned schedule, not that every date went ahead unchanged.
The project developed over several years. Nonesuch says it began during lockdown, when Plant’s customary wandering was restricted, and that he connected with the musicians in the English countryside. Plant described the album as “a song book of the lost and found.” (Nonesuch album announcement, July 16, 2025)
Who was in Robert Plant’s Saving Grace band?
Alongside Plant, the touring group comprised five musicians:
#1 Best Overall
- NEW
- Suzi Dian, vocals
- Oli Jefferson, drums
- Tony Kelsey, guitar
- Matt Worley, banjo and string instruments
- Barney Morse-Brown, cello
Nonesuch identified the September 2025 album as the first album featuring this band. Plant and the group produced it, recording between April 2019 and January 2025 in the Cotswolds and on the Welsh Borders. (Nonesuch, July 16, 2025)
What kind of songs did Saving Grace play?
The album’s songbook draws on a broad range of sources rather than a single genre. Nonesuch names blues and folk figures such as Memphis Minnie and Blind Willie Johnson, alongside Bob Mosley of Moby Grape, and more contemporary songwriters and groups including The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind, and Low. That mix supports describing the project as a reinterpretive collaboration rooted in folk, blues, and Americana traditions, not as a conventional genre exercise.
Plant spoke about bringing songs back from different eras in a BBC Radio 4 Front Row conversation with presenter Samira Ahmed. Nonesuch reproduced his description of an “arsenal of incredible pieces from all sorts of corners of time.” (Nonesuch, September 16, 2025)

The album’s repertoire makes the connection between the record and tour clear, but official materials reviewed do not establish one complete, definitive setlist for every 2025 show. A song confirmed for the album should not automatically be treated as a song played at every concert.

North America and Europe
Nonesuch’s July album announcement listed European dates and an initial North American run. Its September UK announcement described the North American leg as running from October 30 through November 25, 2025. Rolling Stone Australia reported that the US leg began October 30 in Wheeling, West Virginia. These are announced schedule details, not confirmation that each date occurred exactly as planned. Plant’s legacy is inseparable from his years as Led Zeppelin’s vocalist, but Saving Grace presented a different musical frame: a close-knit ensemble with Dian sharing the vocal identity, and a repertoire reaching well beyond Plant’s most famous band. The reinvention is best understood in the choices the project made—its lineup, its years-long development, and its selection of songs from different periods and traditions.

The official tour and album announcements describe Saving Grace as a new band and a songbook project; they do not present the tour as a Led Zeppelin reunion, an official retrospective, or a concert series centered on Zeppelin songs. The legacy connection is therefore a contrast between Plant’s familiar history and the exploratory collaboration he chose to foreground here.

What is known about the tour’s later run and audience?
On its artist-news page accessed October 8, 2026, Nonesuch reported that Saving Grace completed two sold-out US legs, one in fall 2025 and another in spring 2026. That later label statement establishes broad touring context, but does not provide an attendance total or verify the status of every UK date. No precise 2025 tour-wide audience figure is established by the cited official materials.
Likewise, the ten UK shows are a count of announced dates—not a measure of attendance or impact. (Nonesuch Robert Plant artist-news page, accessed October 8, 2026)
