Why the listed date differed from the viewing time
The article explained that new episodes became available Thursday evenings at 9 p.m. Eastern / 6 p.m. Pacific, ahead of their nominal Friday release dates. Christoffel wrote: “New Severance episodes always become available Thursdays at 9 p.m. Eastern / 6 p.m. Pacific.” That statement described the season-two schedule as reported in March 2025, not a guaranteed schedule for other seasons or future releases.
Is the finale still airing next week?
No. The March 21, 2025 date has passed, and 9to5Mac’s current Severance archive refers to the season-two finale as already aired. The original “next week” wording only made sense when the PSA was published on March 12, 2025.
