Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol has been announced and is in production, but no official premiere date or release window has been announced in the official statements reviewed as of October 8, 2026. The project follows the anime’s Universe Survival Arc and is connected to the manga’s “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc.”
Has Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol got a release date?
No. The official announcements reviewed do not give Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol a release date or release window. Its production announcement confirms that the anime project is moving forward; it does not establish when it will premiere.
That means a specific year, season, broadcaster, streaming service, or territory should not be treated as confirmed unless a later official announcement names it. The DRAGON BALL Official Site and Toei Animation announced the project on January 25, 2026, and Shueisha Books published its announcement on January 29, 2026.
What has been confirmed about the anime?
The announced anime title is Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol. Toei Animation describes it as a production following the Dragon Ball Super anime’s Universe Survival Arc, which aired from 2015 to 2018. The DRAGON BALL Official Site likewise places the story after that arc.
