Try these in order to get progressively closer to the solution without immediately revealing every word.
- Theme clue: “Oh, oh, oh!”
- Another nudge: Think “Semi-soundalikes.” The words connect through different spellings and sounds associated with O.
- Words that unlock in-game hints: MIST, SLATE, HEAT, TRAY, TONIC and CHEAT. Find three valid off-theme words of at least four letters to unlock a hint that highlights a theme word.
- Spangram clue: “Sounds just so.”
- Spangram route: It starts at the bottom of the board in the third column and finishes at the top in the third column.
- First-two-letter cues: MI, RH, DO, RA, AV, CH and WH. One cue is for the spangram; the others begin the theme words.
How Strands works
Strands is a themed word-search puzzle on a six-row-by-eight-column grid. Letters in a word can connect horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and the route can change direction. Each letter is used only once. The spangram expresses the shared theme and connects at least two sides of the board.
