In “Grandma’s Birthday,” Timothée Chalamet plays a woman’s boyfriend who tries a new CPR technique on her grandmother. The official Saturday Night Live description says the situation “go[es] off the rails.” The sketch aired as part of Chalamet’s January 25, 2025 episode, Season 50, Episode 12.
What happens in the sketch?
The setup centers on a birthday gathering and an emergency: Chalamet’s character, the woman’s boyfriend, administers what the official description calls a “new CPR technique” to her grandmother. That increasingly chaotic intervention is the sketch’s central comic premise. The description does not give further plot details, so the clip itself is the best way to see how the scene unfolds.
