Why wasn’t the Concord episode pulled?
Miller told GamesRadar+ that removing the episode never came up with the production team and that Amazon did not suggest it. “It never came up with us, I mean, Amazon never suggested it, and we didn’t either because why?” he said.

His answer was straightforward: the installment was a completed story and animation project, and the team was proud of it. Miller said he could see no reason not to release it for fans. He also expressed sympathy for Concord’s developers, noting that the game’s fate did not erase the effort they had put into the game and episode.
When was the episode made?
The production schedule was built around Concord’s planned release. Miller said the episode had been finished months before the team learned what was happening with the game, according to GamesRadar+. In other words, the game’s changed circumstances came after the episode had already been completed, rather than prompting the production to abandon an unfinished project.

Why was Concord part of the anthology?
Executive producer and supervising director Dave Wilson said the decision to include Concord had been made years earlier. Secret Level was conceived to feature games from different points in their life cycles—past, present and future—so Concord’s later release status did not, by itself, make the episode unsuitable. GamesRadar+ reported Wilson’s comments in its interview coverage.
Wilson praised director Patrick Osborne and described the episode as joyful, a quality that made its connection to Concord bittersweet after the game’s fate. That creative response, alongside the long-established selection and completed production, helps explain why the installment remained in the series.

Secret Level began its Prime Video rollout on December 10, 2024, with further episodes released through December 17, according to GamesRadar+.
