Hints for Connections #418
The board’s 16 words are PRESENT, SAMPLE, JEALOUS, TRY, TAX, MIX, LUSH, POSSESSIVE, DIRECT, TEST, SCRATCH, NAUSEOUS, SPIN, IRREGULAR, ECOLOGICAL, and STRAIN. Each belongs to one of four groups of four.
- Yellow: Something that might push someone’s patience to its limit.
- Green: Actions associated with a DJ setup.
- Blue: Adjectives used in grammar.
- Purple: Different senses or uses of “green.”

Connections asks you to sort 16 words into four groups of four. A word may seem to fit more than one theme, so look for the most precise shared link across a full set rather than committing to a group based on a tempting partial match.
