Timothée Chalamet pitches an orange blimp, an orange Statue of Liberty and other over-the-top stunts in a staged Zoom meeting promoting Marty Supreme. The straight-faced format is the joke: the video presents big, increasingly absurd ideas as a brainstorming session, not as proof that the campaign carried them out.
What happens in the ‘Marty Supreme’ promo video?
The video is framed as a Zoom call between Chalamet and the film’s marketing team, with Chalamet playing an unusually intense creative force pitching attention-grabbing concepts. Creative-industry publication Forward Festival describes it as a staged, 18-minute call. Its meeting-room realism gives the outsize proposals their comic effect: they are delivered like serious campaign plans. Forward Festival’s account and a reproduced transcript both identify the scene as promotional parody.
Which promotional ideas does Chalamet pitch?
Orange landmarks and a blimp
Among the transcript’s most striking proposals are turning the Statue of Liberty orange and using an orange blimp. Orange is also central to the film’s visual identity, making the ideas both oversized stunts and an extension of its recognizable color. Harper’s Bazaar also describes orange as the film’s signature hue and summarizes the Statue of Liberty pitch.
A Wheaties-box placement and ping-pong balls
The reproduced transcript also has Chalamet suggest a Wheaties-box placement and branded ping-pong balls raining from a blimp at Tyler, The Creator’s festival. These are ideas spoken in the skit; the available accounts do not establish that either stunt happened.

Are the pitches real campaign stunts?
The format is staged promotional content, not evidence of a recorded internal marketing meeting. Treat the proposals as satire unless separate reporting confirms an execution. In particular, the transcript is reproduced in a social post rather than presented as an authoritative official transcript, so its details are best described as proposals attributed to Chalamet in that post—not as a verified record of completed events.

The orange concepts echo the film’s visual branding, while the campaign also had a fashion tie-in: Harper’s Bazaar reported that Nahmias designed Marty Supreme merchandise and noted celebrities wearing it in social posts. That report establishes the merchandise connection, but not present-day stock or availability.
