To Be Hero X Season 1, Episode 3, “The Ever-Standing Hero,” puts Nice—also known as Lin Ling—on a path toward the top ten. The setup turns a ranking challenge into a question about what it means to be trusted as a hero, and what it costs to appear unbreakable. The available episode listings do not confirm the new-villain reveal implied by the original headline, so this guide sticks to the established setup rather than presenting an ending as fact.

What does Nice have to do to reach the top ten?
Apple TV’s episode synopsis says Nice (Lin Ling) aims to defeat the Ever-Standing Hero to enter the top ten. ORICON’s April 16, 2025 preview gives the plan more specifically: Nice’s manager, JUEN, devises a way for him to defeat MAD WOLF and win public trust. Together, those descriptions establish a ranking goal and a strategy built around public confidence; they do not provide a scene-by-scene account of how the confrontation plays out.
Why trust matters in To Be Hero X
Trust is not just a favorable reaction in the show’s premise. Apple TV’s series description says, “In a world full of brilliant heroes, it’s the trust of fans that turns heroes into superheroes.” The platform also describes trust as quantified for rankings. In that fictional system, public confidence helps determine a hero’s standing, making reputation part of the practical machinery of heroism.
The conflict beneath the ranking challenge
Public image versus private identity
Nice is identified as Lin Ling, while the episode’s stated objective is to improve his standing as a hero. That contrast invites a question about how much of a hero’s public persona is performance—and whether the person behind the name can remain distinct from the image that earns trust. The synopsis and preview establish the setup, not a definitive answer to that question.

Being unbreakable can be a burden
The title centers an “Ever-Standing Hero,” an image of endurance that can look like an uncomplicated virtue. But appearing impossible to defeat can also set expectations a person is expected to keep meeting. The episode’s premise makes that tension a useful lens: public admiration for resilience is not the same thing as knowing what it costs the person being admired.
Approval, trust, and the work of helping
If fan trust affects rank, earning approval can become a strategic objective in its own right. That creates a meaningful distinction between looking trustworthy and doing what a rescue or crisis requires. The available descriptions frame Nice’s effort as a bid to gain trust, but do not establish whether the episode ultimately treats ranking and genuine heroism as aligned or in conflict.

Does Episode 3 reveal a new villain?
The original headline’s “new villain” hook is not confirmed by the platform synopsis or ORICON preview described here. Those listings establish the challenge involving the Ever-Standing Hero and MAD WOLF, but they do not verify a final villain reveal or its consequences. Without an episode-level confirmation, it would be misleading to describe that ending as fact.
