Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, announced on January 14, 2025, that they were expecting their first child together. Their daughter, Daphne Reign Tebow, was born on July 6, 2025, so the pregnancy announcement is now historical news.
What Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow announced
The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post on January 14, 2025. In the video, they walk through a field, kiss and reveal a sonogram; its closing card reads, “Baby Tebow arriving this summer.” ABC News reported that Demi-Leigh was 16 weeks pregnant at the time.
In an interview with PEOPLE quoted by ABC, Demi-Leigh said, “We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together.” Tim described the prospect as an honor: “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
When was Daphne Reign Tebow born?
The couple’s daughter was born on July 6, 2025. Demi-Leigh announced her name two days later, writing, “Meet our daughter, Daphne Reign Tebow,” according to ABC News.

What does Daphne Reign’s name mean?
Demi-Leigh said Daphne honors her aunt, who became a grandmother figure to her. “I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me,” she explained. Demi-Leigh said her aunt embodied “grit and grace.”
Reign was inspired by “a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years,” Demi-Leigh said. The couple did not identify that child in the report, so her identity is not established publicly there.
