March 2026 has passed, so this is a U.S.-oriented look back at notable shows and movies that arrived during the month—not a list of upcoming releases. For documentary viewers, Hulu’s Friends Like These: The Murder of Skylar Neese is the clearest nonfiction pick; the rest of the selection covers comedy, drama, action and returning series. These are editorial suggestions, not an objective ranking: the release listings do not provide comparable audience or review data.

Dates and platform details come from Hulu and Prime Video schedules and March roundups from Boston.com and Rotten Tomatoes. The latter two are secondary sources; confirm present availability on the service itself before subscribing or searching for a title.
For documentary viewers: Friends Like These
Friends Like These: The Murder of Skylar Neese (Hulu, March 6)
Hulu listed the complete docuseries among its March 6 additions. It is the month’s most direct fit for viewers looking for nonfiction rather than scripted entertainment. The available schedule confirms the title and date, but not enough detail to responsibly summarize the case or characterize the series’ approach; consult Hulu’s own synopsis for that information.
For a new comedy series: Bait
Bait (Prime Video, March 25)
Prime Video describes Riz Ahmed’s comedy as following a struggling actor. Pick it if you want a new scripted series with a comic premise rather than a returning franchise. The synopsis is promotional description, not an independent assessment of the show’s quality.

For action on the big screen: Pretty Lethal
Pretty Lethal (Prime Video, March 26)
Prime Video’s listing describes five ballerinas forced to fight for survival after their bus breaks down. That premise makes the film a genre-forward option for a movie night, particularly if an action thriller sounds more appealing than a drama or documentary.
For a returning drama: House of David
Season 2 (Prime Video, March 27)
Prime Video says the second season follows David’s rise after the battle with Goliath. This is the returning-series choice for viewers already invested in the show’s biblical-historical drama; newcomers may prefer to start with season 1.

For a film with awards attention: Sentimental Value
Sentimental Value (Hulu, March 23)
Hulu listed the film as a March 23 addition, and Boston.com included it among the Oscar-nominated films joining Hulu that month. That makes it a useful starting point for viewers seeking a film with awards recognition, rather than a claim that it is the month’s best movie.

Boston.com’s March roundup lists the new season for viewers who want to return to the series’ adventure world.

The Netflix film is another franchise-based choice, suited to viewers looking for a continuation of the Peaky Blinders universe rather than a standalone new series.
Wicked: For Good (Peacock, March 20)
Rotten Tomatoes’ March roundup highlights the musical fantasy film on Peacock. It offers a different kind of franchise pick for viewers in the mood for a musical rather than crime drama or action.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to check whether a March title is still streamable
A March release calendar records what was added or scheduled then; it does not establish the current October 2026 catalog. Check the title in the relevant service’s app or website before making a viewing plan. Availability can also vary by country: Disney+ labels its March schedule as U.S.-specific and warns that library availability varies by region and may change. Other services may also have territory-specific catalogs, so a U.S. listing should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
