Colton Underwood said Michael Rapaport’s remark on The Traitors rattled him and felt personal—but he later said he was not holding a grudge and had forgiven Rapaport. That distinction matters: Underwood did not say the exchange left him unaffected.

What did Michael Rapaport say to Colton Underwood?

During the Roundtable in Season 4, Episode 5, Rapaport told Underwood, “Nobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you.” Underwood replied, “There it is. There it is,” then asked, “You think it was fun for 29 years of my life?” Peacock’s episode recap connected the exchange to Underwood’s experience of being in the closet. It also reported Rapaport said he meant that Underwood wanted to be a Traitor.

The episode aired Thursday, January 15, 2026, according to Us Weekly. Rapaport was banished with 11 of 16 votes; Ron Funches received the other five. That is the vote count from this episode’s banishment.

Was Underwood offended, and is he still holding a grudge?

In an Entertainment Weekly interview quoted by Just Jared on January 17, 2026, Underwood said, “It rattled me. It got to me. And it was really emotional.” He explained that the remark felt personal rather than like a comment about gameplay.
