Spoilers for the complete Invincible comic series. Thragg is the strongest Viltrumite for most of the story; at his peak, end-of-series Mark Grayson has the strongest case to surpass him. That distinction reflects when each character reaches their peak, not an official power scale: no numeric ranking is established in the comics or the sources available here.
How this ranking works
This is a ranking of Viltrumites and Viltrumite hybrids in the comic continuity, judged at each character’s strongest shown point. The series does not provide an official numeric power chart, so the order is an interpretation of the story rather than a settled measurement.

The most useful evidence is who prevails against comparable opponents, how characters perform against top-tier fighters, and what the story shows about their strength and durability. Circumstances matter, too: injuries, outside help, and the conditions of a fight can affect what its outcome proves. The available evidence supports a clear comparison between Thragg and peak Mark, but does not establish a reliable issue-by-issue ordering for every Viltrumite.
1. Mark Grayson at the end of the series
Mark’s strongest claim to the top spot comes at the end of his arc, not from every fight he has as a younger or less experienced hero. A secondary account of the comic’s final confrontation reports that Mark kills Thragg. That outcome makes peak Mark the strongest candidate for number one when the question is who reaches the greatest demonstrated level by the end of the series.

#1 Best Overall
That conclusion should not be projected backward. Earlier Mark and end-of-series Mark are not interchangeable versions of the character, and the final outcome alone does not establish a numerical measure of strength or prove that Mark would win every possible encounter.
2. Grand Regent Thragg
Thragg is the leading candidate for the strongest Viltrumite through most of the story. Secondary ranking coverage describes him as the strongest Viltrumite and reports his extreme final fight with Mark. Taken together, the broad evidence makes him the standard against which the other contenders are judged, even though it does not amount to an official title or a publisher-issued stat.
Rank #2
His fight with Battle Beast is useful context for the scale of his abilities: the available account says it pushed Thragg to his physical limit. Battle Beast is not a Viltrumite, so that encounter informs the comparison without making him eligible for this ranking.
Where Nolan Grayson fits
Nolan, also known as Omni-Man, is one of the best-known Viltrumites and a natural point of comparison. The available evidence does not support placing him at a precise rank relative to Thragg or peak Mark. Assigning him a numbered position would imply a level of comparison the evidence does not establish.

Why Battle Beast is a benchmark, not a ranked Viltrumite
Battle Beast, whose name is Thokk, is not a Viltrumite. His reported fight with Thragg helps show how demanding a top-tier physical contest can be, but it does not answer which Viltrumite is strongest. In a Skybound interview about the character’s creation, artist Ryan Ottley recalled Robert Kirkman’s design brief: “Design a character like a white lion with a Jack Kirby-esque type of armor.” That is design context, not a creator’s strength ranking.

This ranking concerns the completed comic story. The animated adaptation is a separate continuity, and its release state and characterization can change; developments in the show should not be treated as evidence for a comic ranking unless clearly identified as adaptation material.
