There is no reliable evidence in the cited public sources that Robert Plant has a current serious illness or disclosed diagnosis. A 2025 interview offers a brief personal comment about his past habits, while a documented 1975 accident explains a historical injury—not a present health condition.
Is Robert Plant seriously ill?
The available public evidence does not establish that Plant has a current serious illness, diagnosis, or treatment. That is not proof that he has no health concerns; it means the cited sources do not substantiate claims of a current medical crisis.
Plant’s official website listed a performance with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City for 8 October 2026 (official tour listing). A scheduled appearance documents public activity, not medical fitness or a clinical assessment.
What did Robert Plant say about his health?
In an interview published by Corriere della Sera on 14 September 2025, journalist Matteo Cruccu told Plant that he seemed in good shape. Plant replied in Italian: “Diciamo di sì, però ho smesso coi vizi oramai quarant’anni fa.” A translation is: “Let’s say so, but I gave up my vices about forty years ago.” (interview with Robert Plant)
#1 Best Overall
The impression that he seemed in good shape belonged to the interviewer. Plant’s short, conversational reply is his own statement about having stopped his “vices” roughly four decades earlier; it does not identify what those habits were or provide a medical evaluation.
What is known about Plant’s past injury?
Plant was injured in a car accident on the Greek island of Rhodes on 4 August 1975. A Swan Song Inc. press release dated 8 August, reproduced in the official Led Zeppelin archive, reported that doctors diagnosed multiple fractures of his ankle, bones supporting the foot, and elbow. This is a documented injury from 1975; it does not establish a present condition.

What can readers conclude?
The responsible conclusion is limited: the cited sources document a 1975 accident and a 2025 comment about past habits, but they do not establish a current serious illness or diagnosis. Neither Plant’s age, a past injury, nor a listed performance should be treated as evidence of a particular medical state.
