The Netflix chart report is historical: BGR said the film had entered Netflix’s Top 10 in an article published December 30, 2021. That does not establish its current ranking or availability.
Which Oldboy remake does the headline mean?
It refers to the 2013 American film directed by Spike Lee, a remake of Park Chan-wook’s South Korean revenge thriller Oldboy. BGR named Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, and Samuel L. Jackson among the remake’s cast.

Was the film actually rising on Netflix?
BGR reported on December 30, 2021, that Lee’s remake had entered Netflix’s Top 10 that week. The report gives no precise rank or viewing totals, and it is not evidence that the movie is charting now. It also does not confirm whether the film is currently available on Netflix; catalog and chart status can change over time.
What is the 2013 film about?
BGR’s reproduced synopsis follows Joe Doucett, an advertising executive played by Brolin. After being kidnapped and held for twenty years, he is released and sets out to identify the person who imprisoned him. The premise centers on his search for answers and revenge.

How long is the theatrical version?
BGR gives the theatrical cut a runtime of 105 minutes. It also reported that Lee had confirmed a longer director’s cut, closer to two hours and twenty minutes, in an interview with the New York Daily News. That longer-cut detail is BGR’s account; the original interview is not available in the cited report.
