In a 2024 interview report, Macht said he had not communicated with Markle apart from seeing her public support for the show’s resurgence. That dated comment shows what he said then; it does not confirm their contact today. The available reporting also does not establish a separate personal relationship between Barrett and Markle.
How Gabriel Macht and Meghan Markle knew each other
Suits ran from 2011 to 2019. Markle played Rachel Zane and Macht played Harvey Specter, putting them together as castmates on the legal drama. Their confirmed connection is professional; public remarks by Macht offer signs of goodwill, but do not by themselves show that the two were close friends.

What Macht said about contact with Markle
In a February 12, 2024 report about an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Parade quoted Macht saying: “I have not communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that has been really nice.” The comment refers to his knowledge of Markle’s public support for the show’s renewed popularity and describes his contact as of that interview. It is not a verified update on their relationship in 2026. Parade’s report.
The same report included a separate answer from Patrick J. Adams, who said, “No, no communication,” before joking that he was getting a call from Markle. Adams’s remark was his own; it should not be attributed to Macht.

What Jacinda Barrett’s role on Suits does—and doesn’t—show
Barrett is Macht’s wife and appeared on Suits as Zoe Lawford, a love interest for Harvey Specter. That establishes her connection to the series and its cast, but it does not establish a personal friendship between Barrett and Markle. The reporting cited here does not document a separate Barrett–Markle relationship.
Macht’s earlier public support for Markle
In a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Macht offered Markle parenting advice: “The advice is, you gotta stay true to who you are,” and “And just give that kid love. Just support that kid every step of the way.” The remarks convey public goodwill at the time; they are not evidence of how often the two spoke privately or whether they remain in touch. Entertainment Tonight’s 2019 report.

The evidence supports a straightforward account: Macht and Markle worked together, and Macht made supportive public remarks. His most specific reported comment about communication is from 2024, when he said he had not communicated with her beyond seeing her support for Suits. That does not establish a falling-out, a close ongoing friendship, or their present private contact. USA Network’s 2022 discussion of whether the cast remained friends offers broader context, but it does not document a current private relationship between these three people.
