Netflix’s separate weekly US chart covers September 28–October 4. These lists track different kinds of activity, so a chart position is not a universal audience count or a verdict on quality.
What’s popular across streaming services right now?
JustWatch’s US TV chart, accessed October 8, 2026, ranked the following titles by recent activity on its service. JustWatch says its charts draw on activity in the previous 24 hours, seven days or 30 days, including clicks on streaming offers, watchlist additions and marks that a title has been seen. It updates the charts daily. View the current JustWatch US TV chart before choosing; both rankings and availability can change.

JustWatch says it collects data from more than 50 million movie and TV fans per month across 140 countries and 4,500 streaming services. Those are the company’s descriptions of its reach and methodology, not independently audited audience totals. Its chart reflects activity on JustWatch, not a service’s complete viewing figures.

How popular are Netflix, Hulu, Max and Apple TV?
Service-level popularity is a different question from which show is trending. Reelgood’s US Streaming Service Popularity Index was last updated October 1, 2026. It averages how many titles each service held among Reelgood’s US Top 100 most-popular movies and Top 100 most-popular shows over a trailing 30-day window, then converts that figure to an index from zero to 10. It measures how broadly a service’s catalog appeared in those lists, not the most-watched individual show or subscriber totals.
| Service | Reelgood US position | Average titles in its Top 100 lists | Index |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netflix | #1 | 34.6 | 9.88 |
| Prime Video | #2 | Not stated in the October 2026 figures cited here | 9.15 |
| Hulu | #3 | 29.9 | 8.55 |
| HBO Max | #5 | 20.2 | 5.77 |
| Apple TV | #10 | 11.5 | 3.28 |
These figures describe Reelgood’s US index as of October 1, 2026; they should not be read as a head-to-head count of subscribers or hours watched. See Reelgood Data Trends.

How to use streaming charts when picking a show
- Check the method and time period. JustWatch tracks recent actions by its users; Netflix’s list is a platform-specific weekly Top 10; Reelgood’s index summarizes how many popular titles services carried over a trailing 30 days.
- Confirm the region and listing. The rankings above are US charts. Availability may differ by country and can change, so open the current title listing before subscribing or planning to watch.
- Treat chart position as a popularity signal, not a quality score. A chart can help surface what is attracting activity, but it does not establish that a show is better than another.
- Keep recommendations distinct from rankings. Tom’s Guide’s three Netflix picks are editorial recommendations; they are not a separate audience measurement.
