Yes. The Jaipur Literature Festival’s 15th edition returned as an in-person event in 2022, but it was held at Hotel Clarks Amer rather than Diggi Palace. The festival was rescheduled from its announced January dates: online sessions ran March 5–9, followed by five on-ground days at Clarks Amer from March 10–14. It was a hybrid edition, with both online and in-person programming.
Where the 2022 festival took place
Clarks Amer replaced Diggi Palace as the venue for the realized March 2022 event. That is different from the original plan announced in November 2021: it assigned literary sessions to Clarks Amer and musical events to Diggi Palace. March coverage described Clarks Amer as the venue for the on-ground festival, rather than reporting that the earlier split-venue plan went ahead.
India Today’s March 3 report identified Hotel Clarks Amer as the on-ground venue. The festival’s official 2022 programme brochure also confirms a March edition in Jaipur with online and offline participation.
Why the venue changed
In December 2021, JLF producer and Teamwork Arts managing director Sanjoy Roy linked the move to COVID-19 protocols and the need for larger spaces. He also said the Rajasthan government had asked organizers to consider a less congested area. Roy noted that Clarks Amer was near the airport and said it would not cause traffic congestion, according to The Indian Express.

Announced January plan versus the March event
Early announcements are useful for understanding the change, but January was not when the 2022 festival ultimately took place. Contemporary reports show the schedule shifting between the original announcement and the event:

What organizers said about attendance and precautions
Figures in reports reflect different stages of planning, not one settled final count. The Indian Express reported more than 300 speakers for the planned edition in December 2021. In March 2022, India Today attributed a figure of 500 speakers, including four Nobel laureates, to JLF organizer Sanjay Roy. The sources do not establish a reconciled final speaker total.

India Today also quoted Roy saying organizers expected 15,000 people each day. That was an expectation, not a verified attendance result; no final attendance total is established here.
The Indian Express’s December account described the health rules being considered for the original January plan. Roy said people attending in person would need to register and pay a token amount, as well as show either a double-vaccination certificate or a valid RT-PCR test. Those were reported plans for January; they should not be treated as confirmed entry rules for the rescheduled March event.

Was there an announced entry fee?
Condé Nast Traveller India reported early-bird in-person entry at Rs 200 in November 2021, describing access to session venues, food courts and art-installation spaces. That price belonged to the initial announcement; the available contemporary reporting does not establish the final March ticket price.
