The report described Deme as his girlfriend and said they had been dating for about 18 months; those details refer to their relationship at the time, not his status today.
What PerthNow reported about the Lakers game
The pair watched the Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 106–94, with LeBron James scoring 30 points. PerthNow described the outing as a public appearance and credited the accompanying photograph to Getty Images photographer Kevork Djansezian. Read PerthNow’s 20 December 2021 report.
How the relationship was reflected in 2022
On 22 April 2022, triple j reported that LAROI said of “Thousand Miles”: “I wrote this song when I first met my now girlfriend.” The report identified Katarina Deme as the TikTok personality and model appearing in the song’s video. The quote documents how he described the relationship then; it does not establish his present relationship status. Read triple j’s report.
What later reporting says—and does not establish
Teen Vogue’s relationship timeline places Deme before Tate McRae and says LAROI seemingly confirmed his breakup with McRae in a July 2025 exchange, while noting that it was not an explicit confirmation. See Teen Vogue’s timeline.
