Order 66 was Palpatine’s purge order against the Jedi. The clearest named survivors in StarWars.com’s official references are Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kanan Jarrus (born Caleb Dume), Ahsoka Tano, and Cal Kestis. Ahsoka survived the purge but was no longer a Jedi when it happened. This is a growing list, not a complete census: the official overview says “a few other Jedi” survived without naming them all.
What it means to have survived Order 66
Palpatine’s Order 66 branded the Jedi enemies of the Republic and set the purge in motion. StarWars.com describes the event as the eradication of the Jedi Order, but its overview also notes that survivors took different paths: some hid, some helped nurture rebellion, and some became Inquisitors. Escaping the initial purge does not, by itself, establish that a character lived through the Empire’s later years.
The official overview names Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi, adding that “a few other Jedi” survived. It does not give a total or publish a complete roster. Accordingly, the list below separates people named in official reference material from additional names appearing in a dated secondary roundup.
Survivors named in official StarWars.com references
Yoda
The StarWars.com Jedi Order overview explicitly names Yoda as a Jedi Master who survived the purge. StarWars.com’s Jedi Order overview does not detail his escape in this entry.

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan is also named alongside Yoda as a survivor in the official overview. The reference establishes that he escaped Order 66; that statement alone is not a claim about how long he remained alive afterward.
Kanan Jarrus (Caleb Dume)
Kanan was born Caleb Dume. His official biography says he survived the Emperor’s purge and hid his identity for years. The Databank puts the point plainly: “Not every Jedi perished in Order 66.” Read his StarWars.com Kanan Jarrus / Caleb Dume entry.

Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka survived the attempt on her life during the purge, but she was not a member of the Jedi Order at the time: her official biography says she had rejected an offer to return before Order 66 was issued. She later hid under the name Ashla and worked with Bail Organa’s rebellion. She belongs on a list of people who survived Order 66, with that membership distinction made explicit. See StarWars.com’s Ahsoka Tano biography.
Cal Kestis
StarWars.com’s Cal Kestis entry identifies him as a survivor of Order 66 and says Jedi Master Jaro Tapal trained him. The entry is the official basis for including Cal here; no further escape details are needed to establish the point. See the official Cal Kestis character page.

Additional names in a 2024 secondary roundup
A MeriStation roundup updated September 4, 2024 lists several more names alongside the official-reference examples: Luminara Unduli, Grogu, Jocasta Nu, Cere Junda, Naq Med, Quinlan Vos, and the Tenth Brother. This is a secondary list, not an official exhaustive roster, and its inclusion of a name should not be mistaken for confirmation from the official overview.
The roundup identifies the Tenth Brother with Prosset Dibbs, Masana Tide, or Bil Valen. Because those names are presented as alternative identifications in that source, they should not be treated here as three independently confirmed survivors. The broader list is useful as a set of leads, but each less familiar case requires story-specific verification before being stated as settled fact. The roundup is available at MeriStation’s September 4, 2024 article.

Why lists of Order 66 survivors keep growing
New canon stories can introduce a survivor or clarify a character’s fate, while reference summaries may focus on only a few prominent cases. That is why “survived Order 66” is best read as a record of named cases, not a fixed population count. StarWars.com’s “a few other Jedi” is qualitative, and no authoritative total is established in the cited sources.
It also helps to keep four questions separate when evaluating a name:

- Was the character in current canon? A canon roster should not silently combine Legends material or fan-compiled lists with current continuity.
- Were they a Jedi at the time? Ahsoka had left the Order, even though she survived the purge.
- What does the evidence establish? An official biography, a later story, and a secondary roundup are different levels of support.
- Which survival claim is being made? Escaping the purge is not the same as being alive at a later point in Imperial history.
