Netflix: two returning series and a Christmas rom-com
Arcane season 2
The animated adaptation returned with the first three chapters of its second season, grouped as Act 1. It was the pick for viewers ready to continue the series rather than start a standalone story.
Outer Banks season 4, part 2
The second half of season 4 offered five more episodes, according to the November 2024 roundup. It was the other Netflix series recommendation that weekend.
#1 Best Overall
Meet Me Next Christmas
Christina Milian plays Layla, who tries to find a ticket to a sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert so she can reconnect with the man she loves. Its holiday premise makes it the film option among the three Netflix picks.
Prime Video: a spy spin-off and a coming-of-age comedy
Citadel: Honey Bunny
This six-part Indian spin-off follows stuntman Bunny and actor Honey through storylines set in 1992 and 2000. The split-timeline setup distinguishes it from the roundup’s other Prime Video pick.
Rank #2
My Old Ass
Maisy Stella plays 18-year-old Elliott, who encounters her 39-year-old future self, played by Aubrey Plaza, after a mushroom trip. The coming-of-age comedy was made in collaboration with LuckyChap and Amazon MGM Studios.
Different regional picks: The Old Man and The Day of the Jackal
The Old Man season 2
Availability depended on location in the roundup’s account: Hulu in the US, and Disney+ elsewhere, where the season had arrived on November 6, 2024. Those details describe the reported 2024 release, not today’s catalog.
Rank #3
The Day of the Jackal
The modern adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s novel stars Eddie Redmayne as an assassin and Lashana Lynch as the MI6 agent pursuing him. TechRadar listed Peacock for US viewers and Sky for UK viewers at publication.

For a quick choice by service, the historical list had three Netflix titles, two Prime Video titles, one Disney+ title outside the US and one title listed for Peacock in the US or Sky in the UK. For US viewers, the roundup placed The Old Man on Hulu instead of Disney+. These are the roundup’s November 2024 categories, not a current availability check.
