The second official The Bad Guys 2 trailer, released May 15, 2025, puts the reformed animal-outlaw crew on a globe-trotting heist course with a new team: the Bad Girls. Kitty Kat, Pigtail, and Doom bring the sequel’s fresh criminal rivalry, while the film itself opened in US theaters on August 1, 2025.
What the second trailer sets up
DreamWorks’ premise puts the original Bad Guys in an awkward position: they are trying to leave their outlaw lives behind, but get caught up in a high-stakes heist masterminded by the Bad Girls. The film’s new crew is not just a rival gang; its arrival pulls the reformed protagonists back toward the kind of trouble they are trying to avoid.
Universal’s official listing identifies the May 15, 2025 video as THE BAD GUYS 2 | Official Trailer 2 and gave the US theatrical date as August 1. That is the second official trailer, distinct from earlier promotional material. Watch the official trailer on Universal Pictures’ YouTube listing.
Who are the Bad Girls in The Bad Guys 2?
The new trio consists of three animal criminals with different specialties. DreamWorks lists their characters and voice performers as follows:

DreamWorks does not date the sales figure on that page, so it should be understood as the studio’s undated report rather than a separately verified 2026 count.
