What is The Mighty Nein about?
The series follows a group of fugitives and outcasts bound by secrets and scars. When a powerful arcane relic known as the Beacon falls into dangerous hands, they must work together to protect the realm and stop reality from unraveling. The story adapts Critical Role’s Campaign 2, not the Vox Machina adventure from Campaign 1. Critical Role’s series description introduces the animated story, while its Campaign 2 page provides background on the original Wildemount adventure and the group’s journey toward trusting one another.
The campaign-level premise includes political unrest between two countries and a band of misfits learning to act for others as well as themselves.
