His cloak is tied to the series’ conflict between technology and magic, and the season-one finale reveals that Mephisto—not the initially suspected Dormammu—is connected to Parker’s powers.
Who is The Hood in Ironheart?
The Hood is Parker Robbins, played by Anthony Ramos. In the series, Parker leads a crew trying to take control of Chicago. Riri Williams’s ambition to build and improve her iron suit draws her into their world, where working with Parker forces her to navigate choices that are not simply heroic or villainous. Disney’s official Ironheart press kit describes Riri’s entanglement with the mysterious, charming Parker as part of a story that puts technology and magic in tension.
Who is Anthony Ramos playing in Ironheart?
Ramos plays Parker Robbins, aka the Hood. The character’s comic-book identity and the show’s version are related, but the series is not presented as a scene-for-scene adaptation of the comics. Ironheart first appeared in Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2015, according to the Television Academy.
Ramos has described the role as a chance to explore a character audiences may see as bad without reducing him to that label. “I feel like I’m in my villain era,” he told the Television Academy, adding that he likes finding good in people perceived as bad. That perspective makes Parker more complicated, but it does not make him a hero.

What is the source of The Hood’s powers?
The season-one finale reveals that Mephisto is the figure Parker met and is connected to his power story. Earlier in the season, characters investigate the cloak and consider Dormammu as a possible source. That is an initial hypothesis, not the final answer: the identity is established in the finale. TVLine’s finale coverage recounts the investigation and reveal; TheWrap’s interview with Dominique Thorne also discusses the cast’s uncertainty about the identity during production.
Why does Parker work with Riri?
Parker and Riri are both ambitious, but they approach their aims from different positions. Riri returns to Chicago with the drive to make advanced technology despite limited resources; Parker has a crew and a plan to seize control of the city. Their cooperation gives Riri access to possibilities she wants, while placing her close to Parker’s criminal goals.

The creative team has framed their choices in terms of ambition and circumstance, rather than treating either character as simply good or bad. Executive producer Ryan Coogler said, “Riri is always working with scraps. She’s always trying to make a way out of no way.” Head writer and executive producer Chinaka Hodge said the story’s circumstances might push Riri and Parker to be “badder” than they otherwise would have been. These comments explain the moral pressure around their partnership; they do not erase responsibility for what Parker does.

The finale identifies Mephisto in Parker’s story, but that reveal does not by itself resolve every consequence of the connection or establish what happens to Parker next. The available finale coverage does not confirm a continuation of his story after season one, so future appearances and the resolution of any cliffhanger remain unsettled.
