How does it connect to The Brothers McMullen?
The 1995 original introduced the McMullen family; this sequel revisits them roughly 30 years later. Burns returns as Barry, Michael McGlone as Patrick and Connie Britton as Molly. The passage of time shifts the focus toward Barry’s adult children as well as the continuing romantic lives of the older characters. Rotten Tomatoes lists December 5, 2025 as the streaming release date and HBO Max as a subscription option.
