Games announced on September 12, 2024, that The Powerpuff Girls and DC’s Nubia would join MultiVersus in Season 3, “Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice.” The Girls arrived with the season launch on September 17; Nubia was scheduled to join later, on October 15, 2024. These are historical release dates, not confirmation that the game or its content is available today.
How The Powerpuff Girls joined the roster
The Powerpuff Girls entered as one playable fighter combining Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup—not as three separate roster slots. Warner Bros. Games classified the team as an Assassin and described a coordinated style built around shared attacks and switching which girl leads.
When the leader changes, the team can use that character’s individual special moves. The format therefore gives the trio a shared fighter identity while letting players draw on each member’s distinct specials. The publisher’s September 12 announcement said the team would be available when Season 3 launched on September 17, 2024. Warner Bros. Games’ Season 3 announcement (French)
When Nubia arrived—and how she differed
Nubia was the separate, later Season 3 fighter. A contemporaneous report based on the publisher and developer announcement gave October 15, 2024, as her playable release date and described her as an Assassin focused on close combat. Her Staff of Understanding gives her spear-like reach, while her attacks include slashes, strikes, kicks, and shockwaves. Gematsu’s October 2024 report
