Suge Knight Net Worth: What the $200,000 Estimate Does—and Doesn’t—Show

Celebrity Net Worth lists Suge Knight’s net worth at $200,000, but it is an unverified estimate. His 2006 bankruptcy figures are historical and separate from Death Row Records’ company case.

Celebrity Net Worth lists Suge Knight’s net worth at $200,000, but no current financial statement in the available sources verifies that estimate. The most authoritative figures available are from Knight’s 2006 Chapter 11 filing: a U.S. Bankruptcy Court report summarized his personal case as $4 million in assets and $137 million in liabilities. Those figures are historical, not a calculation of his finances today.

What is Suge Knight’s reported net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth currently lists Knight’s net worth as $200,000 (Celebrity Net Worth). This is a publisher’s estimate, not a court finding or a verified financial disclosure. The page does not provide a transparent calculation or a contemporaneous personal balance sheet in the material available.

That distinction matters: net worth is assets minus liabilities, and a reliable current figure would require current information about both. The published estimate should therefore be read as an estimate, not as a confirmed account of how much money Knight has.

What did Knight’s 2006 bankruptcy filing report?

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California’s 2006 annual report says Knight filed for Chapter 11 on April 4, 2006, listing $4 million in assets and $137 million in liabilities (court annual report). These are figures from his personal bankruptcy case and describe that filing period, not his present-day finances.

A contemporary report by The Smoking Gun, citing details from the filing, gave more precise totals: $4.4 million in assets and $137.4 million in debt. It also reported an $11 bank-account balance (The Smoking Gun, May 5, 2006). That account balance was one historical detail; it was not Knight’s total assets or net worth.

Death Row Records’ bankruptcy was a separate case

Death Row Records filed Chapter 11 on the same day as Knight, but its case concerned the company, not Knight’s personal balance sheet. The court report lists the label’s assets as undetermined and its liabilities as $111 million (court annual report). Those liabilities should not be added to Knight’s personal liabilities or treated as his personal debt.

Did the later Death Row brand sale change Knight’s net worth?

Blackstone announced in 2022 that Snoop Dogg acquired the Death Row Records brand from MNRK Music Group, which Blackstone controlled (Blackstone announcement). The announcement does not say Knight sold the brand or received proceeds. It also does not establish who owns every master recording, catalog right, or other asset associated with Death Row.

So the brand acquisition does not establish a payment to Knight or provide a basis for revising his net-worth estimate.

How to verify bankruptcy records

United States Courts says bankruptcy case records may be accessed through PACER, the federal courts’ electronic records service (United States Courts: bankruptcy records). Docket documents can provide information about a filing and its proceedings, but records from a 2006 case do not by themselves establish a current personal balance sheet.
