The Cozy Mystery Book Club has not confirmed an October 23, 2026 event date. Its official page says to check back in October for the next Cozy Mystery Free eBook Blast, but does not yet give a date, book list, or retailer options. When the list goes live, you can browse its titles and claim books through the linked ebook stores—after checking each book’s price at the retailer.
Is Stuff Your Kindle Day on October 23, 2026?
That date is not confirmed for the 2026 cozy mystery event. October 23 was associated with third-party coverage of a 2025 event; it should not be treated as this year’s schedule. The Cozy Mystery Book Club’s official Book Blast page currently asks readers to check back in October and does not publish an exact date.
The event directory lists the Cozy Mystery Free eBook Blast as a quarterly promotion and says all cozy subgenres are welcome. Because the list and schedule are organizer-submitted and can change, use the official Stuff Your Kindle event directory to find the cozy event page, then rely on that page for its live details.
How to find and claim the free cozy mysteries
- Open the organizer’s page: Visit the Cozy Mystery Book Club Book Blast page in October and look for the new edition’s list.
- Choose a title: Browse the books and follow the retailer link shown for the title you want.
- Check the price before claiming: Confirm that the retailer listing displays a free price immediately before you add or download the ebook. A book’s listed price can change, and event organizers say title details come from participating authors and may be inaccurate.
- Use the linked store’s checkout or download flow: Follow that retailer’s instructions to add the ebook to your account or reading app.
Do you need a Kindle?
Not necessarily. “Stuff Your Kindle” is a label for author-organized, limited-time ebook promotions, not a single centralized event that always uses Amazon or requires a Kindle device. A separate mystery-focused edition lists multiple ebook retailers, including regional Amazon stores, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Google Play. That illustrates how these events can work, but it does not establish which retailers the October 2026 cozy blast will use. Check the links on the cozy event’s live page.
#1 Best Overall
Choose among the available links by checking whether the store serves your country, whether the displayed price is free, and whether your device or reading app supports that store’s ebooks. The event page’s actual retailer links—not the format’s name—determine where a particular book can be claimed.
What is known—and not yet announced—for October 2026
- Confirmed: The organizer’s page says to check back in October for the next book blast, and the directory describes a quarterly cozy mystery promotion open to all cozy subgenres.
- Not confirmed on the official page: October 23 as the event date, a 2026 participating-book list, the number of titles, the promotion’s duration, and the specific retailer links.
- Not a 2026 forecast: A third-party article reported more than 150 free ebooks for the 2025 cozy mystery event. That historical figure does not establish this year’s selection or count.
Why these promotions have different dates and lists
Stuff Your Kindle events are community-driven promotions organized by authors, often around a specific genre. They are not one annual event run from a single central schedule. The format dates back to December 26, 2014: the Stuff Your Kindle “Our Story” page says the first event included more than 60 titles submitted by 35 authors. Those are historical details, not figures for the upcoming cozy blast.
Since independent organizers assemble their own lists and details may change, the safest approach is to check the Cozy Mystery Book Club page in October and verify each ebook at its retailer before claiming it.
