How this ranking defines “strongest”
This ranking considers four factors: how widely a Titan can affect a battle or population, its destructive scale, its tactical options and defenses, and how much its performance depends on a particular inheritor or special condition. That favors overall strategic threat over a one-on-one duel. Change the criteria and the order can change—especially for Titans whose value depends on their holder.
The Nine Titan powers are the Founding, Attack, Armored, Colossal, Beast, Jaw, Cart, Female, and War Hammer Titans. The available reference material supports broad comparisons but not a definitive, finely separated ranking of every close matchup. Places below the top three should therefore be read as a reasoned ordering, not settled canon.
The Nine Titans, ranked by overall potential
1. Founding Titan
The Founding Titan ranks first for its potential reach beyond an immediate fight. The reference account describes powers to direct Titans and alter the memories or bodies of Subjects of Ymir, giving it strategic influence that no ordinary combat advantage can match. Access to its full powers is subject to a royal-blood condition, however; its position reflects its potential, not an assumption that every inheritor can use that potential freely. 2. Colossal Titan
The Colossal is the clearest choice for large-scale destructive force. It is listed as 60 meters tall, and its explosive transformation and high-pressure steam give it area-impact capabilities as well as immense physical presence. The 60-meter figure is a fictional setting measurement, not a real-world statistic. 3. War Hammer Titan
The War Hammer earns a top-three place for tactical versatility. Its ability to create crystal weapons and structures offers multiple ways to attack or defend, while remote body control adds another tactical option. That breadth makes it formidable, even though the evidence here does not establish that it matches the Founding Titan’s population-level influence or the Colossal Titan’s destructive scale. 4. Attack Titan
The Attack Titan is one of the Nine, but its position is particularly easy to overstate if a holder’s combined powers are treated as its own. By the story’s end, Eren holds the Attack, Founding, and War Hammer powers concurrently. Feats achieved with that combination should not be credited to the Attack Titan alone. 5. Armored Titan
The Armored Titan’s name points to its defining defensive role, but a ranking needs to weigh more than durability: scale, strategic reach, versatility, and the abilities of a particular inheritor all matter. 6. Beast Titan
The Beast Titan is another power whose effectiveness can vary significantly with its inheritor and circumstances. 8. Jaw Titan
The Jaw Titan is listed at 5 meters tall, a fictional setting measurement that makes it the smallest by the cited figure. Size alone does not determine strength: a compact form may still be dangerous in a close engagement. 9. Cart Titan
The Cart Titan rounds out this particular ranking because the chosen criteria favor broad strategic influence, destructive scale, and tactical options. That does not make “weakest” an absolute verdict: a ranking built around endurance, logistics, or a specific mission could produce a different order.
