What the records do support is a useful distinction: Cagematch publishes community ratings, wrestler profiles, promotion and title histories, and Hall of Fame records, but those are not interchangeable measures of a wrestler’s TNA career.
Why the exact top 10 cannot be established
The available Cagematch pages do not show a source ranking of the ten best TNA wrestlers or explain a method for deriving one. The promotion record and its rating-and-comments page provide database information and user responses, not a verified ranked list. Without the ranking page or a documented calculation using Cagematch data, assigning ten names and positions would be guesswork.
That distinction matters because a profile rating is not automatically a rating of a wrestler’s work in TNA. Cagematch’s returned AJ Styles profile snapshot shows an average of 9.53 from 2,210 valid votes; the Samoa Joe snapshot shows 9.18 from 1,349 valid votes. Both are dynamic, community-generated, all-career profile averages—not TNA-only scores, and not evidence of an ordered TNA top 10. See the AJ Styles profile and Samoa Joe profile.
What “TNA” covers in a retrospective
TNA’s branding and title history span different naming periods. Cagematch’s TNA World Championship record follows championship names and promotion affiliations through TNA, Impact Wrestling, and Global Force Wrestling periods. A retrospective therefore needs to state whether “TNA” means only the promotion’s TNA-branded years or its broader lineage across those names; the available evidence does not define the scope of a particular top-ten list. The championship history and promotion record provide that context.

Ratings, titles, and Hall of Fame status measure different things
- Profile ratings: User-submitted scores reflect participating Cagematch users and can change as votes are added. They are not necessarily specific to TNA performances.
- Championship history: A title record documents reigns and branding history; it does not, by itself, establish an all-time ranking.
- Hall of Fame membership: Cagematch lists annual TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame inductees, including Sting (2012), Kurt Angle (2013), Gail Kim (2016), and Abyss (2018). Induction is recognition, not a numerical placement in a best-wrestlers list. See the Hall of Fame list.
- Promotion comments and ratings: Responses on the TNA ratings and comments page are community contributions, not official TNA statements.
Current roster information is not a historical ranking
TNA’s official roster page is useful for present-day roster and champion information. It cannot establish who belongs in a historical all-time top 10, or how those wrestlers should be ordered.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What would make a Cagematch top 10 verifiable
A reliable answer would need the actual ranking page or an explicit, reproducible method—for example, a defined set of TNA matches and a stated way of aggregating their ratings. The source would also need to clarify its era and branding scope. Until those details are available, Cagematch’s profile figures, title histories, and Hall of Fame entries can inform context, but they cannot responsibly be combined into an invented ranking.
