No confirmed California move has been announced. Teresa Giudice’s “in four years” comment was a 2022 expression of what she thought she might want, not a set relocation date. In later remarks, she discussed both California and Florida; in December 2025, she focused more specifically on Florida and the possibility of splitting time between New Jersey and a warmer location after her youngest daughter finishes high school.
What did Teresa Giudice say about moving to California?
In a 2022 appearance on the Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast, Giudice said: “In four years, I think I want to move to California. My youngest will go off to college … I’m jealous. I want to be [in] the warm weather.” Reality Blurb reported the remark on July 21, 2024. The conditional wording matters: she described a possible future preference, not a booked move or a firm decision.
In July 2024, Giudice also said New Jersey was not her “forever” home and that she and her husband, Luis Ruelas, were looking at properties. She named both California and Florida as possibilities and described a potential arrangement of six months in New Jersey and six months somewhere warmer. Is she moving to Florida instead?
Florida became the more prominent possibility in Giudice’s later comments. In a December 2, 2025 interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, she said Florida remained on her radar. She pointed to her daughters’ connections to the state, her youngest daughter Audriana’s interest in attending college there, and her dislike of New Jersey winters. She also said Miami might be her preference.

Giudice discussed a possible split-year setup tied to Audriana finishing high school: “We’re looking at properties now,” she said. “So even if we get something now, and eventually — when Audriana’s done with high school — then we’re going to do six months and six months. Like, six months in Jersey, and then six months wherever we pick….just warm weather all year round, yes! That’s what I want!” Read the comments in Bravo’s interview.
That remains a possibility she described, not proof that the couple has chosen a home, finalized a destination or set a moving date. Her remarks also leave open whether the warmer-weather location would be Florida or another place.

Are Teresa and Luis still together?
In an August 9, 2026 update, Bravo reported that Giudice and Ruelas remained together and had celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. That supports referring to Ruelas as her husband in current coverage, but it does not add confirmation of a move. Bravo’s relationship update covers the anniversary and their relationship.
