Stevie Wonder’s October 10, 2024, Madison Square Garden concert was billed as “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart.” The documented setlist spans 28 songs, mixing seven selections from Songs in the Key of Life with hits, other catalog tracks, and covers. The available record supports a look at the repertoire and sequence—not firsthand judgments about how the show sounded or felt.

Which Madison Square Garden concert is this?

MSG’s archived event listing confirms the October 10, 2024 performance and its title, “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart.” This retrospective concerns that date. A separate Stevie Wonder concert is scheduled at MSG for November 19, 2026, as part of the Songs In The Key of Life Performances 50th Anniversary Tour; it is not the 2024 show. MSG’s event listing and the 2026 event listing document the two distinct dates.

What the 28-song setlist documents

The community-maintained setlist record, last updated September 29, 2026, lists 28 songs. It opens with “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” then “As If You Read My Mind,” “Master Blaster (Jammin’),” and “Higher Ground.” Across the rest of the sequence, the record includes familiar songs such as “You Are the Sunshine of My Life,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” “My Cherie Amour,” “Overjoyed,” “Living for the City,” “Sir Duke,” “I Wish,” “Isn’t She Lovely,” “Superstition,” “As,” and “Another Star.”

Seven songs are identified in the record as coming from Songs in the Key of Life: “Another Star,” “As,” “Contusion,” “I Wish,” “Isn’t She Lovely,” “Sir Duke,” and “Village Ghetto Land.” That is a substantial thread in the documented repertoire, but the record shows a mixed-catalog concert, not a performance of the album in full. The sequence moves among that album’s tracks, other Wonder songs, and covers. The source records song selection and order; it does not establish how the songs were performed. The setlist record is community-maintained rather than an official production document.

Guest vocals and ensemble credits

The setlist record credits Sheléa on “Until You Come Back to Me (That’s What I’m Gonna Do),” “Something’s Coming,” “It’s All Right,” and “Don’t You Worry ’bout a Thing.” It also notes a string section, brass section, background vocalists, dancers, and other musicians. Those credits help describe the documented lineup, but they are not independent verification of stagecraft, sound, or the audience’s response.

Why Songs in the Key of Life is a useful lens

The seven identified album selections make the record a natural way to trace one strand of the concert’s repertoire. They sit alongside songs from Wonder’s broader catalog and covers, so the setlist points to a career-spanning program rather than an album played straight through.

Universal Music Canada says Songs in the Key of Life was originally released on September 28, 1976. In an announcement dated September 28, 2026, marking its 50th anniversary, the label said the album earned Wonder the third of his three GRAMMY Awards for Album of the Year, achieved Diamond certification, and was inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. Universal also announced a four-song EP of previously unreleased session recordings: “It’s Easier,” “My Life Story of Love,” “I Can See the Sun In Late December,” and “I’m Into Livin’.” These are label-stated album and anniversary details, not measures of the 2024 concert. Universal Music Canada’s anniversary announcement attributes to Wonder the line, “We’ve lived with Songs in the Key of Life for fifty years, but there’s still more to hear.”

For listeners revisiting the seven songs in the set, Songs in the Key of Life is a natural listening companion. The setlist does not indicate that the 2024 concert presented the full album.

What can—and cannot—be said about the performance

The sources establish the event date, billing, documented song sequence, and the credits recorded on the setlist page. They do not establish the writer’s attendance or substantiate judgments about vocal condition, sound mix, stagecraft, pacing as experienced in the room, crowd reaction, or emotional impact. Any description of pacing here is limited to the order documented in the setlist, not a firsthand account of transitions or timing.

The setlist page records doors at 7:00 p.m., a scheduled 8:00 p.m. start, an 8:30 p.m. start, and an 11:00 p.m. end. MSG’s archived event page lists an event-specific oversized-bag limit of 22 × 14 × 9 inches and directs ticket holders to check their ticket for the suggested entrance. These are historical details for the 2024 event, not current venue guidance.
