On October 15, 2024, Taylor Swift announced two separate physical releases: The Official Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book, a photo-filled hardcover retrospective, and the first physical editions of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD. Target’s announcement set the U.S. in-store launch for November 29, 2024, followed by online sales November 30; those are historical launch dates, not a statement of current availability.
Two different releases, not a book-and-album bundle
The Eras Tour book is a visual and written retrospective of the tour. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology is a music release: Target described its vinyl and CD editions as the album’s first physical formats, after it had previously been available as a digital album. The announcement presented them together, but they are distinct products with separate contents and prices.

Swift called the book “the official retrospective of the most wondrous tour of my life, my beloved Eras Tour” in Target’s October 15, 2024 announcement.
What is in the Eras Tour book?
The Official Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book is a 256-page hardcover with more than 500 images. Target said it includes personal reflections and notes by Swift, as well as rehearsal and behind-the-scenes material. It is a tour keepsake, not a music format.

Target’s announcement described the CD as a 35-track edition with the same four acoustic bonus songs, but did not say it includes the vinyl poster.

Availability varies by market and can change. At the time its listing was checked, Target’s U.S. book product page showed the book at $39.99 and in stock; that observation does not establish the current status of the book or the availability of the vinyl and CD. The official U.K. store listing gave the book a December 7, 2024 release date and showed it as unavailable when checked; it also said the listing could not be shipped to U.S. delivery addresses. These are point-in-time listing details, not a live inventory guarantee.

On December 6, 2024, Target reported nearly one million copies sold in the book’s first week, based on Target Corporation individual-unit sales data. Target separately attributed its comparisons with other books to Circana BookScan data. Those are distinct measures and sources; the nearly one-million figure is Target’s sales count, not the BookScan comparison.
Swift thanked readers in the announcement: “You were what made The Eras Tour what it became.”
