SonyLIV lists the series as streaming now; availability can vary by territory.

What the closing volume is about
SonyLIV’s official synopsis says Kabir returns to the Special Task Group after his father is attacked. A new enemy is seeking to spread ISIS influence in Kashmir, and Kabir faces loss, betrayal and clashes as he tries to stop a deadly plot.
In the fictional story described by reviewers, the adversary is Fareed Mir, also known as Al-Damishq, played by Gaurav Arora. The conflict puts Kabir’s personal grief alongside the STG’s effort to prevent an attack planned around a Peace Summit. That setup gives the closing run both an operational threat and a character-level question: what does the fight cost Kabir?

Does the terrorist hunt deliver a satisfying payoff?
Moneycontrol reviewer Deepansh Duggal gives the volume three out of five stars, calling it a fitting conclusion to Kabir’s arc and praising Manav Vij’s performance; Rajat Kapoor is also singled out. The review’s satisfaction is therefore strongest in the character resolution, rather than an unqualified endorsement of every plot turn.
Duggal’s main reservations are a slow opening, twists that depend on coincidence, and questions about the logic and explanation behind parts of the STG’s pursuit and the bomb-related developments. Viewers who prioritize emotional stakes and performances may find the close rewarding; those who need every tactical turn to be tightly motivated may be less convinced.

Scroll.in reviewer Deepa Gahlot likewise describes the second chapter as six remaining episodes, highlighting fast-paced shootouts and emotional undercurrents, including the collateral damage of violence. The review also notes an announcement about another season at the end. This is corroborating context rather than a substitute for Moneycontrol’s more detailed assessment.
How the volume fits the Fauda adaptation
Tanaav is an Indian adaptation of the Israeli thriller Fauda; ContentAsia identifies season 2 as adapted from Fauda season 2 and describes volume 2 as the final volume of that adaptation. The series relocates the story to Kashmir. That is production context, not a claim that the fictional drama documents or represents the region.
Rank #3
ContentAsia reported on April 20, 2026, that Tanaav 2 Volume 2 won the 2025 ContentAsia Award for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted). Director Sudhir Mishra described the season as “Not just a continuation of the story – it’s a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for the greater good,” as quoted in the outlet’s report. The award is recognition of the adaptation; it does not determine whether the show’s pacing or plot will work for a particular viewer.
How many episodes are in volume 2?
Moneycontrol’s December 7, 2024 review identifies volume 2 as six episodes. The same review reported that all six were then available on SonyLIV.
Rank #4
Who is likely to enjoy it?
- Consider it if: you want an action-led continuation with shootouts, emotional consequences and a Kabir-centered resolution.
- Go in with measured expectations if: plot mechanics and carefully explained operational twists matter more to you than character payoff.
- The adaptation context may add interest: the series reworks Fauda for an Indian setting, but it should be approached as fictional drama rather than a documentary account of Kashmir.
The cited sources provide no audience survey or viewership figure for this volume, so its award and one critic’s rating should not be mistaken for audience consensus.
