Taylor Swift’s The Official Release Party of a Showgirl was a limited theatrical event tied to the release of her album The Life of a Showgirl. It was not a standard concert film: the program paired a music-video premiere with behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos and Swift discussing songs from the album. The U.S. screenings ran October 3–5, 2025, and have concluded.
What was the theater release party?
The event was a special presentation accompanying the album’s release, rather than a recording of a live concert. AMC described it as an approximately 89-minute program. Its announced contents included the world premiere of the “The Fate of Ophelia” music video, footage from the video shoot, new lyric videos and Swift’s personal reflections on songs from the album. When did screenings take place?
AMC listed October 3, 2025, for the event. In the United States, the theatrical engagement ran from October 3 through October 5. The initial announcement covered the U.S. and 18 other countries; AMC later announced a broader international rollout. Dates and participating theaters varied by territory, so those announcements described the planned distribution at the time rather than a continuing schedule. What did tickets cost in the United States?
AMC announced standard U.S. tickets at $12 plus tax on September 19, 2025, with online convenience fees potentially applying. That was the announced U.S. price at the time—not a global price or a current offer. Ticket terms varied by market, and the screenings are over. AMC, September 19, 2025
